WHAT MY CLIENTS SAY

Our 40+ year old home was in need of a helping hand when The Odd Job Guy, Mark Fenech, was referred to us by neighbours. The job we had in mind was freshening up our second bathroom but one thing quickly led to another. Mark just rolled with the ever-growing list and cheerfully carried out each task, no matter how big or small. He arrived promptly when he said he would and worked non-stop till the end of the day or when the job was done. His attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile was impressive. It’s very reassuring to know just who to call when the next odd job (or two) comes up!

— Bill and Lynn

I was referred to the Odd Job Guy by my father in law when we decided to get our stairway light fixtures replaced. We were so happy with Mark’s work we decided to hire him to upgrade our very outdated un-functional main bathroom. Having three children it’s difficult to shop for accessories. We sent him a list of what was needed and trusted him to choose what would be appropriate for our needs. We came home from vacation to a truly stunning bathroom. It was beyond what I imagined it would look like. His prices are always fair and upfront. I love how he notices details I might have otherwise missed.

— Amanda, Mississauga

Mark, The Odd Job Guy has fantastic painting skills, and is a true professional. We hired Mark to paint our main floor hallway, stairway leading to second floor, family room, dining room and kitchen including all baseboards, doors and trim. He spent the first three days preparing the wall surfaces for painting by plastering all scratches, dents, cracks and nail pops, then sanding and priming the repairs before even touching a paint brush or roller! This extra detail taken shows in the end result with flawless smooth walls and laser cut edging! Mark was punctual on a daily basis, honest, and genuinely cared about the quality of his work. We would highly recommend Mark for any painting jobs you are considering!

— Lisa & John, Georgetown

We’ve been using Mark for our odd jobs for years. He’s the first person we call when we need something done. Over the years he’s installed baseboards, downspouts, quarter round, dimmer switches, closet doors, stair railings and ceiling fans as well as a myriad of other repairs too numerous to mention here. He also recently did a complete bathroom Reno and the results were fantastic.

We never have to worry that something won’t be done correctly. Mark is always several steps ahead, coming up with different solutions to a problem. He’s efficient, on-time, and a nice guy.

— Randy & Lisa

Mark has completed a variety of jobs in my townhouse over the past 4 years.  He is methodical, organized, dependable and trustworthy.  He takes the time to explain and provide options.   Mark has brought in a variety of tradesmen who share the same level of professionalism.  He is a creative problem solver who goes above and beyond to ensure that the job is done correctly and to my satisfaction!  Mark even take my dog out for a walk and gives him lunch!

Mark,  The Odd Job Guy is a rare breed in the Handyman Industry.  Mark completed my lengthy home improvement list in a timely and highly efficient fashion. His pride of workmanship and expertise were clearly evident in the manner in which he completed his tasks such as installing drywall, painting, replacing light fixtures and floor tiles, repairing the sink faucet and the garage door, and creating a beautiful privacy screen for my patio.

I was impressed with not only Mark’s high quality work but his punctuality, honesty, his wide range of knowledge and the excellent way in which he troubleshot any issues that arose. Mark sincerely cares about his customers. His professionalism, cheerful personality, flexibility and great sense of humour will make doing anyone’s home improvement projects less stressful and truly gratifying. I definitely will be relying on The Odd Job Guy‘s services again in the future.

— Sandra, Mississauga

I can’t thank Mark enough for helping make my house a home again.  After I lost my husband due to a long illness, I just couldn’t stay in the house in the condition it was in.  I either had to move or renovate.  Mark was recommended to me by a friend and hiring him was the best decision I ever made. Mark not only knows his stuff, he was so considerate of me and my pets, he understood this was a very difficult time for us.

My house has had a complete makeover from top to bottom…wall paper removed, all walls, doors, trims and ceilings repaired and painted, new kitchen counter top, backsplash, and floor. New counter tops, sinks and toilets in all bathrooms, new light fixtures and hardware throughout the entire house and countless other “odd jobs” inside and out.   My house is now bright and modern and a pleasure to come home to.  As my niece says “it’s now a house of light and happiness”!

— Cathy, Mississauga

Mark, Bill and I would like to thank you very much for the excellent way in which you completed our “To Do List” last week. We are very pleased with the half-wall that you built between the foyer and the living room. The way you incorporated the half-wall into the existing column, is amazing. It looks as if it was there originally. We appreciate the fact that you took the time to make the samples of the style of trim for the top of the wall. It turned out just the way I wanted it. You were very mindful of our needs and fulfilled them perfectly.

The thorough preparation of the walls and careful painting of the living, dining room and hall resulted in a high quality paint job. We would highly recommend you to anyone who needs a skilled, conscientious worker who has all the necessary tools to do a very professional job.

— Jean & Bill, Mississauga

I was thrilled with the work Mark completed for me this fall. One day was dedicated to a range of odd jobs that included such tasks as installing a new range hood, fixing a broken railing and repairing a hole in a stucco ceiling after a plumbing repair.
Later, Mark came back to do a few days of painting, both walls and trim. Not only did he do every job with the utmost care and attention, he also made sure my home was spotless when he left. I feel so lucky to have found The Odd Job Guy to finally do work that had been on hold for years.
— Jennifer, Mississauga

I had the pleasure this past summer of having Mark Fenech complete 3 days’ worth of odd jobs around my house. These were jobs I’d been meaning to get to for…years! But they were also jobs I couldn’t do on my own. As a single woman living alone, I’ve found it hard to keep up with the maintenance of my home. Mark was incredibly efficient, detailed, helpful and fast!! He even adjusted his schedule on short notice to complete an important job for me before an out of town guest arrived. Mark is a highly skilled, dependable and genuinely kind person, and I give him my highest recommendation.
— D. Odell

Based on recommendations from our real estate agent and, also a friend who had hired “The Odd Job Guy”, Mark fixed some of those “annoying things” that had accumulated over 23 years of ownership. His workmanship was excellent and we knew that Mark would show up on time and get stuck in to the several projects. We liked his work so much that we kept adding to the list! And when the bill came we were pleasantly surprised. Excellent work at a reasonable price; what a rare combination! The ultimate endorsement is that after Mark had done his magic we listed the house and sold in 7 days!

We would like to thank you for the work that you completed in our house and commend you for your efforts. You have many qualities that we appreciate that reflect in your work. For the past year The Odd Job Guy has been coming to my home to work on all sorts of issues for me. He is creative and has solved a lot of problems. When two tenants who rent properties that I own recently presented me with a list of “odd jobs,” The Odd Job Guy got to work and knocked off their lists promptly and efficiently. Both tenants contacted me to say how happy they were with The Odd Job Guy’s professionalism, friendliness, and attention to detail. One tenant in particular was very impressed with his follow up. What more could I ask?… The Odd Job Guy is flexible and loves his work!!! He has wowed all of us with his range of abilities and the manner in which he executes the job. He comes to help me with ten things and ends up attacking fifteen with no break in stride. I am very grateful for the tremendous work he has done for me in my home and in the rental properties.
— Annette Helou, Cedar Investments

I have been calling The Odd Job Guy on a fairly regular basis now for more than 5 years. His first job was cleaning out an attic that raccoons lived in all winter, and he came back!!!… Over the years he has painted (mentoring my boys along the way), built several wooden shelves, hung, and re-hung pictures, in addition to yearly spring and fall house repairs. Perhaps one of the oddest jobs he did for me was being the subject for one of my son’s science projects. It seems that nothing is too odd for The Odd Job Guy and on top of that, he’s always in a good mood as well… I’d call The Odd Job Guy first for anything and if he can’t do it, more often than not he’ll have some great advice as to who can.
— Joanne Maziarczyk
